Vaginal Plastic Surgery

October 6th, 2009 | 3 Comments | Posted in Body Plastic Surgery

There are basically two reasons for any plastic surgery procedure and they are either medical or aesthetic or a combination of the two. Female plastic surgery procedures to enhance or treat problems in the vaginal region are becoming more popular as the procedures are becoming more mainstream and more socially accepted. It will soon be seen as a normal treatment alongside other plastic surgery procedures like liposuction, tummy tuck or a face lift. There are different procedures in vaginal plastic surgeries to treat different problems. There are those looking to reduce the size of their labia with a procedure known as labiaplasty. Others seek vaginoplasty which tightens and rejuvenates the vagina.

Labiaplasty
Average Surgery Costs for both Pectorals: $3,500 to $4,000

Labiaplasty is the procedure to reduce the size of a woman’s labia which is usually a cause of embarrassment and low self esteem. It can also fix asymmetric labia by reducing one down to the normal size of the other. It is a way for many women to correct the misshapenness of their private areas and serve most as an aesthetic procedure although the problem can also be medical if it ever causes the patient pain or discomfort. Labiaplasty is generally regarded as a relatively safe procedure.

Vaginoplasty
Average Surgery Costs: $6,000 to $9,000

The average cost for vaginoplasty procedures have dropped quite dramatically due to improvements in technology as well as the increase in demand. The popularity of this treatment is increasing because of affordability but mostly because of the acceptance of such a procedure into mainstream. The procedure itself often involves labiaplasty to shrink everything in the area as well as tighten the vaginal muscles. This gives the vagina a tighter and more rejuvenated construct. It is a common treatment after multiple births affect the tightness of the women’s vagina.

Hymenoplasty (reconstruction of the hymen)
Average Surgery Costs: $2,500 to $3,500

For cultural or religious reasons, there are women who choose to have their hymen surgically repaired after it had been broken either by non-sexual physical activities such as sports, the use of tampons, or by sexual activities such as masturbation and intercourse. There are more traumatic and saddening reasons that can cause the hymen to tear such as in victims of child abuse, molestation, or rape. Most patients of hymenoplasty also request the procedure to be discrete and confidential as the reasons for the treatment may be especially sensitive.

Vaginal enhancement procedures range in a wide variation of costs depending on the procedure and the individual’s circumstances. Just as most women spend money on makeup and clothes to look good, many enjoy the benefits of female sexual enhancement surgeries because it makes them feel good. And feeling confident and secure about you self is an elation that even high plastic surgery costs can’t bring down.
