Tumescent Liposuction – Tumescent Liposculpture
There are many cosmetic surgical procedures available today, but one of the most commonly performed is known as Tumescent Liposuction or Tumescent Liposculpture. How Safe is This Procedure?
Tumescent liposuction is considered to be the safest form of liposuction currently practiced. In relatively large studies there were few if any reports of complications and those were minor. It should be further noted that blood transfusions are rarely, if ever, required during this procedure if the surgeon involved is in any way competent. There is no danger of succumbing to pain during this procedure since the anesthetic effect generally lasts for around twenty-four hours. This renders the entire procedure itself into a painless affair, though there may be soreness in the area of operation for up to two weeks afterward.
Who is Suitable for This Procedure?
As with any invasive surgery, an ideal candidate for liposculpture will be a person that is in sound physical condition. This same individual will be one that exercises frequently, eats properly, and is close to their ideal weight. There are also financial costs involved so those who are not able to afford the cost or attain a line of credit to pay for liposuction prices are obviously not eligible. This procedure is designed for individuals that are having trouble removing fatty deposits in certain body areas. It is not considered to be a treatment for generalized obesity. There is little danger in this operation, therefore it is considered suitable for anyone aged sixteen to eighty.
